Our university continues to take significant steps in the field of sustainability through its environmentally friendly policies. In the March 2024 term, the Directorate of Administrative and Financial Affairs ranked third among administrative units with the best per capita performance in the paper category and was awarded a Zero Waste Certificate. In April, the Directorate improved its standing by ranking second in the same category and once again qualified to receive the certificate.
The zero waste policy is at the heart of environmental protection and sustainability efforts. This policy promotes the efficient use of resources through fundamental principles such as recycling, waste reduction, and reuse. By adopting these principles, our university is firmly committed to implementing its zero waste strategy and expects active participation from all administrative units in this process.
To achieve this significant success, the Directorate of Administrative and Financial Affairs took various measures such as reducing paper consumption in offices, encouraging recycling, and managing paper waste responsibly. In particular, the proper disposal and recycling of paper waste resulting from archive reorganization and the destruction of expired documents played a major role.
In this context, the awarding of the Zero Waste Certificate to the Directorate of Administrative and Financial Affairs demonstrates the unit’s commitment to and success in environmental sustainability. The Directorate aims to further enhance and expand its eco-friendly and sustainability-focused initiatives in the future.
